We are in need of a seasoned technical consultant with deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker. The project involves migrating our applications from Docker Swarm to Kubernetes primarily for enhanced management capabilities and interconnect our datacenter with AWS infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Migrate applications from Docker to Kubernetes.
- Establish our internal datacenter as the "core" infrastructure for a complete Business Continuity project. This includes interconnecting it with AWS Direct.
- Setting up a net balancer and orchestrator on AWS.
The purpose of this project is to predominantly utilize our datacenter resources, while also replicating all critical services on AWS. In the event of any incidents, we should be able to upscale our AWS resources. The specific services that need to be replicated on AWS for Business Continuity include:
- Database services
- Web applications
- File storage
Ultimately, we are aiming for a regional level of disaster recovery with this new setup. Ideal candidates should have:
- Proven experience with AWS, Kubernetes and Docker
- Strong background in Business Continuity planning and implementation
- Skills in setting up net balancers and orchestrators
- Experience in creating regional failover systems.
